The recreation area is home to one of the area’s most popular hiking trails, Lower Calf Creek Falls. The six-mile round trip hike ends at a picturesque, 126-foot waterfall that empties into a large pool, which is a perfect place to take a dip on a hot summer day. Another favorite trail is the Escalante River Gorge, similar to the Narrows in Zion National Park.
