Grand Staircase-Escalante is a hiker’s paradise with everything from day hikes to technical, multi-day canyoneering adventures. Two favorite hiking destinations within the monument are Devils Garden, a collection of spires, pinnacles and arches, and a grouping of slot canyons that includes Peek-a-boo and Spooky gulches. Calf Creek Recreation Area’s main attraction is the hike to Lower Calf Creek Falls, a scenic waterfall that empties into a large pool that is an ideal swimming hole on hot summer days.
