Welcome to our world

Winter is quieter of course.

The longhorns are wintering down on the desert and the waterfall is in a spectacular freeze, and snow arrived last week and did its magic transformation act– especially on the red hoodoos of Bryce Canyon.  I love the solitude and  tranquility of this high mountain desert. Highway 12 is different around every turn, and the Grand Staircase National Monument is a wonder. I’m especially intrigued with the slot canyons!

I have finally completed a cookbook/memoir that is being printed.  Besides recipes it shares my feelings about Escalante, my family that came to help me, the discoveries I’ve made running a bed and breakfast, and our wonderful, often crazy, lives.
