About Slot Canyons Inn

Slot Canyons Inn is located five miles west of the town of Escalante, which lies on the western edge of Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. We are situated at the mouth of a canyon with a stream that flows with cool, clear waters from the highest plateau in North America. Wildlife abounds in the canyons around us, so don’t be surprised if from your room, you see wild turkeys, deer, and many of the wild animals native to this region. Click here for a maps of the regional area and Inn’s location.

In addition to the stunning landscape and lovable wildlife, our inn is a place of anthropological interest. For 4 years, Brigham Young University conducted an excavation of the North Creek Shelter site directly behind the inn. Radiocarbon dating has placed the site as the oldest on the Northern Colorado Plateau (11,000 years), with artifacts and features linked to historic Numic, Anasazi, Fremont, Archaic, and Paleoarchaic groups.

Experience our Famous Breakfast

Your hosts will prepare delectable offerings for each morning’s breakfast including: Fresh granola, fruits & juices, homemade bread, jams & jellies, and a hot entree. Breakfast FOR ADDITIONAL OR NON-GUESTS (with advance notice) is available at the inn: $15/teens and adults, $10/children.

Breakfast is included with every room reservation. Coffee is available early each morning. Teas are available at any time, and juices are served with breakfast.

Some of our favorite dishes include our Stuffed Blueberry French Toast, Burritos, Sweet Potato Hash, Quiche, and Frittatas. We make and toast delicious granola daily and serve it with our homemade yogurt.

Breads and spreads are available each morning. Did you know that we grind our own wheat? We even source our Prickly Pear Cactus fruit for jelly!

Our garden and orchard provide many of our “farm-to-table” fruits and vegetables. We also have vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free breakfast options with prior notice.

A different entree is prepared each morning. Local free-range eggs are used most often. We bake sweet breads and muffins to compliment our egg entrees.

We joke that if you are still hungry after breakfast….it isn’t our fault!

Policies

RATE POLICY

  • All rates are based on availability and double occupancy.
  • CABIN: $10/additional person
  • INN: $15/additional person
  • Some restrictions apply. Special rates are not available on major holidays or major weekends. Breakfast is included with inn rooms and can be purchased by cabin guests with advanced notice (adults/teens $10, children 12 and under $5).

DEPOSIT & CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Deposit: (rate for the first night) is required for all reservations.
  • Cancellations: subject to a $30.00 per room cancellation fee.
  • Reservations canceled within 7 days of arrival date will be charged the full reservation fee (unless the reservation can be re-booked).

ADDITIONAL GUESTS

  • There will be a $15.00 additional fee per rollaway bed and a $10.00 additional fee per foam mattress.

Pet Policy

At Slot Canyons Inn, we are committed to providing a peaceful, allergen-conscious, and comfortable retreat for all of our guests. Please note that Slot Canyons Inn is a pet-free property. We are unable to accommodate pets in our suites at the inn.

In accordance with ADA guidelines, trained service animals assisting a guest with a disability are welcome. Emotional support animals and comfort animals are not considered service animals under ADA regulations.
